Bryce Canyon National Park
Our most recent trip to Utah was supposed to be in the slot canyons of Grand Staircase-Escalante and Northern Arizona---but we were rained out! Because we could not photograph the slot canyons Gary & I spent some time at Bryce Canyon and Arches.
The weather our first afternoon in Bryce was cloudy, we had very limited visibility but this provide some rather unusual photo opportunities.

We did not spend much time in Bryce the first day, but returned the next day to much better weather. Again we were at Sunset Point (for sunrise) and got some great photos of the morning glow on the hoo doos; a great start to the day.
Later in the morning we hiked some of the trails of Bryce, right among the hoo doos. More great photo opportunities.
We spent the rest of the day in Bryce, and even got some shots of the full moon rising over the park that evening.
We had limited time at Bryce, but some great photography. Again, see more photos at Shutterfly. Check out the CD guide to Bryce at iDocs Photo Tours.
